Sayyid Shah Jamal-ud-din Naqvi Bukhari, popularly known as Baba Shah Jamal, was a Sufi saint who lived in Lahore during the reign of the Mughal emperor Akbar. He was affiliated with the Qadiri, Suhrawardi and Chishti traditions. His shrine in the Ichhra neighbourhood of Lahore remains a living pilgrimage site, famous for its Thursday-night dhamaal (devotional trance) gatherings.
