Abu Shayba al-Khudri, a Companion whom early sources record as having died before the walls of Constantinople; per Dr. Mehmet Efendioğlu, one of only two Istanbul Companion graves with a genuine historical basis. A maqam attributed to him stands in the Toklu Dede and Companions cemetery in Ayvansaray; the physical presence of his body is uncertain (maqam). (Sources: İstanbul Ansiklopedisi; Kültür Envanteri.)
