A 13th-century Ahî saint who trained under Ahî Evran in Konya and was sent to Antalya by his shaykh in the reign of Alâeddin Keykubad I. He founded his madrasa and lodge in the Mermerli quarter of Antalya's Kaleiçi, where he also worked as a swordsmith. A velî buried in one of Antalya's rare Anatolian Seljuk-era religious structures; his tomb stands in the Çaybaşı (Kızıltoprak) quarter of the city centre. Per the north-façade inscription dated AH 630/1232-33 (read by some as AH 636/1238-39), the building was commissioned in honour of Shaykh Shujâ al-Dîn by Türkerî ez-Zevâk and his brother. The figure venerated in an Ottoman-era (16th-century) tomb built on a large rock on the road up to Alanya Castle, near the Red Tower. In waqf records of Süleyman the Magnificent's reign the endowment is registered as 'Sitti Zeynep bint Zeynelâbidîn'; she is said to be a daughter of Zeyn al-Âbidîn of the line of Husayn, though her identity is not firmly established (disputed/cenotaph). A 14th-century mystic, one of the foremost dervish-saints of Anatolia and a major Bektashi velî, called 'pîr-i sânî' in some sources; his lodge is counted among the four chief Bektashi âsitânes. Said to be of Hoy (Azerbaijan) origin, to have taken part in the conquest of Bursa, and to have trained Kaygusuz Abdal.
