A velî regarded as one of the seven holy men said to have come to the Alanya region from Khorasan, reputed to be a disciple and descendant of Seyyid Hârun Velî. He settled in the village then called Onas, founded his lodge, and spread Islam in the area. Though his exact dates are unknown, a waqf deed of 1461 bears his name; his tomb lies in the Mahmutseydi neighbourhood 22 km north of Alanya, beside a historic Seljuk-era mosque.
