A 14th-century mystic, one of the foremost dervish-saints of Anatolia and a major Bektashi velî, called 'pîr-i sânî' in some sources; his lodge is counted among the four chief Bektashi âsitânes. Said to be of Hoy (Azerbaijan) origin, to have taken part in the conquest of Bursa, and to have trained Kaygusuz Abdal. His tomb stands in Tekke village of Elmalı, alongside the graves of his parents and Kaygusuz Abdal. (Sources: TDV İslâm Ansiklopedisi 'Abdal Mûsâ' & 'Abdal Mûsâ Tekkesi'; Elmalı Municipality)
