Sayyid Muhammad Rashid Erol
A Naqshbandi-Khalidi scholar and Sufi guide (1930-1993). Born in Baykan, Siirt, he succeeded his father Sayyid Abdulhakim al-Husayni (Gawth of Bilvanis) as spiritual leader and settled in Menzil village of the Kâhta district of Adıyaman. He died in Ankara on 22 October 1993 and was buried beside his father in Menzil, where his tomb remains a major site of visitation. (Sources: TDV İslâm Ansiklopedisi 'Erol, Muhammed Râşid'; A.
