Emîr Ahmed Semerkandî was a scholar and Sufi from Samarkand who taught in the Uşak region, trained Sheikh Alâeddîn-i Uşşâkî in Kabaklar, granted him his licence, and died there. He died in 981/1573 and was buried in Kabaklar; his tiled, mosque-shaped tomb is north of the Kabaklar Mosque. (Sources: Uşak local-history sources (usaklilar.com); Sıddık Naci Eren.)
