A scholar of Quranic exegesis, hadith and jurisprudence in the early Ottoman period; he read the first Friday sermon in the name of Osman Gazi and is regarded as the first Ottoman judge and preacher. He was the son-in-law and disciple of Sheikh Edebali and taught at his lodge after his death.
