A Sufi, Akhi sheikh and scholar of the early Ottoman period, regarded as the first Ottoman judge. He was the father-in-law and spiritual guide of Osman Gazi, marrying his daughter Râbia Bâlâ (Mal) Hatun to him. He died at his lodge (zaviye) in Bilecik and was buried there.
