An 11th-century Persian Sufi and scholar born in Ghazna who settled in Lahore. He authored Kashf al-Mahjub, the earliest systematic Persian treatise on Sufism; his tomb is among Pakistan's most visited shrines. His death year is disputed (465/1072 dominant). (Sources: TDV; Wikipedia.)
