Prophets · Mosul
The al-Nabi Jirjis Mosque in Mosul is named for Jirjis, associated in Islamic tradition with Saint George; locals believed him buried in the attached mausoleum. As Jirjis is a semi-legendary martyr-saint, this is best regarded as a commemorative/locally-attributed maqam.
