Abdullah Nidai al-Kashghari came to Istanbul from Kashgar in East Turkestan and became one of the leading sheikhs of the Naqshbandi order. Writing Sufi poetry under the pen name "Nidai," he gathered a wide following through his learning and spiritual guidance.
