veylül lilmüṭaffifîn.
Woe to those who give less [than due],
elleẕîne iẕe-ktâlû `ale-nnâsi yestevfûn.
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
veiẕâ kâlûhüm ev vezenûhüm yuḫsirûn.
But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
elâ yeżunnü ülâike ennehüm meb`ûŝûn.
Do they not think that they will be resurrected
liyevmin `ażîm.
For a tremendous Day -
yevme yeḳûmü-nnâsü lirabbi-l`âlemîn.
The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
kellâ inne kitâbe-lfüccâri lefî siccîn.
No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.
vemâ edrâke mâ siccîn.
And what can make you know what is sijjeen?
kitâbüm merḳûm.
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.
veylüy yevmeiẕil lilmükeẕẕibîn.
Woe, that Day, to the deniers,
elleẕîne yükeẕẕibûne biyevmi-ddîn.
Who deny the Day of Recompense.
vemâ yükeẕẕibü bihî illâ küllü mü`tedin eŝîm.
And none deny it except every sinful transgressor.
iẕâ tütlâ `aleyhi âyâtünâ ḳâle esâṭîru-l'evvelîn.
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
kellâ bel râne `alâ ḳulûbihim mâ kânû yeksibûn.
No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.
kellâ innehüm `ar rabbihim yevmeiẕil lemaḥcûbûn.
No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.
ŝümme innehüm leṣâlü-lceḥîm.
Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
ŝümme yüḳâlü hâẕe-lleẕî küntüm bihî tükeẕẕibûn.
Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."
kellâ inne kitâbe-l'ebrâri lefî `illiyyîn.
No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.
vemâ edrâke mâ `illiyyûn.
And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun?
kitâbüm merḳûm.
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed
yeşhedühü-lmüḳarrabûn.
Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].
inne-l'ebrâra lefî ne`îm.
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
`ale-l'erâiki yenżurûn.
On adorned couches, observing.
ta`rifü fî vucûhihim naḍrate-nne`îm.
You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
yüsḳavne mir raḥîḳim maḫtûm.
They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.
ḫitâmühû misk. vefî ẕâlike felyetenâfesi-lmütenâfisûn.
The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.
vemizâcühû min tesnîm.
And its mixture is of Tasneem,
`ayney yeşrabü bihe-lmüḳarrabûn.
A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.
inne-lleẕîne ecramû kânû mine-lleẕîne âmenû yaḍḥakûn.
Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
veiẕâ merrû bihim yetegâmezûn.
And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
veiẕe-nḳalebû ilâ ehlihimü-nḳalebû fekihîn.
And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
veiẕâ raevhüm ḳâlû inne hâülâi leḍâllûn.
And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."
vemâ ürsilû `aleyhim ḥâfiżîn.
But they had not been sent as guardians over them.
felyevme-lleẕîne âmenû mine-lküffâri yaḍḥakûn.
So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,
`ale-l'erâiki yenżurûn.
On adorned couches, observing.
hel ŝüvvibe-lküffâru mâ kânû yef`alûn.
Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?
