An Ahi/dervish leader of Khorasani origin who came to Anatolia in the 13th century; his real name was Ahi Mahmud Veli, known as 'Ahi Baba.' He founded his lodge in Keçeci village (Erbaa) that bears his name and is the pir of the still-active Keçeci Baba Ocağı.
