Isa Efendi was a Naqshbandi Sufi shaykh (pir) of Dagestani origin who introduced and spread the Naqshbandiya order in Georgia's Pankisi Gorge in the early 20th century, living there about 15 years. He died in the 1930s. His tomb in the (ethnic Azeri) village of Kabal in eastern Georgia is an active ziyarat, visited by both Sunni Azeris and the Kist Muslims of Pankisi who pray, give charity and seek intercession, especially for vows and the sick.
