A warrior-dervish (gazi-derviş) said to have been sent to the region during the Anatolian Seljuk period for the conquest of the Garbîkaraağaç (Acıpayam) area, who then settled there and founded a lodge to guide the people. The town of Yatağan that grew where he settled takes its name from him.
