A Mevlevi poet and shaykh, born in 875 (1470) in Muğla as the son of Sâlih Hüdâyî Dede, shaykh of the Muğla Mevlevihane. Known by the pen name “Şâhidî,” he took over as shaykh of the Muğla Mevlevihane after the death of his master Dîvâne Mehmed Çelebi.
