Tavus Baba, whose full name is recorded as Tavus Mehmed al-Hindi, was a Sufi figure of Indian origin. He is said to have lived in the 13th century during the reigns of the Anatolian Seljuk sultans Rukneddin Suleymanshah and Alaeddin Keykubad, settling in Konya.
