Shaykh Osman Rumi was a thirteenth-century Sufi counted among the companions of Mevlana Jalal al-Din Rumi; he was the brother of Shaykh Hasan Rumi. According to Sipehsalar he was present at a gathering in Damascus alongside Shams-i Tabrizi, Sadr al-Din al-Qunawi and Awhad al-Din Kirmani.
