Husam al-Din Chalabi was born in 622 AH (1225) in Konya into a family that had migrated from Urmia to Anatolia. As the closest deputy and scribe of Mevlânâ CelâleddĂŽn-i RĂťmĂŽ, he was the inspiration for the composition of the Mathnawi, which Rumi sometimes called the 'Husam-nama.'
