Sayyid Jamal al-Din Yahya b. Baha al-Din al-Shirvani, born in Shamakhi, became a disciple of Sadr al-Din al-Khiyawi; after his master's death he moved to Baku, organised the Khalwatiyya, and is regarded as the order's second pir and, in effect, its true founder.
