A Qadiri Sufi mystic and preacher who studied at Gwalior under Muhammad Ghaus, performed Hajj, and settled at Nagore via the Maldives and Sri Lanka. He is locally venerated as 'Nagore Andavar' (Ruler of Nagore) and credited in tradition with curing the Thanjavur ruler Achuthappa Nayak.
