A Sufi born in Bengal (1826) regarded as the founder of the Maizbhandari order, the only indigenous Sufi tariqa to have originated within the Bengal region. Traced to the Qadiri lineage, he combined madrasa scholarship with Sufi practice and local Bengali devotional expression.
