Mahmud Baba, a Qadiri Sufi who lived in Kadıköy under Sultan Abdülmecid. He long served as administrator of the Osmanağa Mosque and later guided disciples at a lodge built for him by the Sultan. He died around 1850; his tomb in Hasanpaşa, Kadıköy, near the old Kuşdili Meadow, is still visited.
