Himmet Efendi (d. 1095/1684), born in Bolu, was a mystic of Bayrami-Shamsi origin regarded as the founder (pîr) of the Himmetiyye branch. Having studied the religious sciences in Istanbul and served as a professor, he turned to Sufism and became a disciple of Hacı Ahmed Efendi of Bolu.
