The Imamzadeh mausoleum houses the grave of Imamzadeh Ibrahim, traditionally identified as a son of the fifth Shia Imam Muhammad al-Baqir. By tradition Ibrahim and his brother Ismail fled Umayyad persecution; Ibrahim was killed at Ganja, where a mausoleum was raised over his grave.
