Born in Edirne, he was a Sufi and poet of the Uşşâkıyye branch of the Halvetiyye order and is regarded as the founder of the “Câhidiyye” sub-branch. For many years he guided followers across the Çanakkale, Biga, Lapseki, Bayramiç and Gelibolu regions.
