A Mevlevi sheikh and divan poet, also known as Semai Mehmed Chelebi and a descendant of Mevlana. As postnishin of the Afyonkarahisar Mevlevi lodge he made the city the foremost center of the Mevlevi order after Konya, founding numerous lodges across Anatolia and beyond.
