A Persian Sufi, poet and qalandar dervish born in Marwand (Sistan) in 1177 to a Sayyid family, associated with the Suhrawardi tradition and the wandering Qalandariyya. He settled in Sehwan (Sindh) and became the region's most venerated saint, drawing millions of pilgrims yearly. He died 673/1274.
