Syekh Muhammad Dalil Bayang ("Syekh Bayang") was a Naqshbandiyah tarekat leader and author, born in Bayang, Pesisir Selatan, who later settled in Padang. At Ganting he opened study circles and taught the Qur'an, and he wrote works such as Targhib ila Rahmatillah. He was a leading figure of the Naqshbandi movement in Padang. He is buried in the cemetery behind Masjid Raya Ganting, a visited site. His exact death year is not firmly established across sources.
