Sultan Muhammad Bahu b. Bazid Muhammad al-Qadiri was a major Qadiri Sufi poet and scholar of 17th-century Punjab. Born in 1039/1630 at Shorkot and died in 1102/1691, his tomb is at Garh Maharaja in the Jhang district. He is said to have written some 140 works in Persian, about thirty of which survive; he founded the Sarwari Qadiri branch and is renowned for his Punjabi verse (Abyat-i Bahu) expounding wahdat al-wujud.
