Syekh Syarif Abdurrahman, known as Pangeran Panjunan, is remembered as a preacher who, according to tradition, came to Cirebon with his brother Pangeran Kejaksan to spread Islam and settled on the Plangon hill in Sumber district, where he remained until the end of his life in seclusion and teaching. His tomb at Plangon shares a shrine with his brother's; it is intensively visited, especially during the annual 'Haul Pangeran Panjunan' on 2 Syawal, making it a notable stop in the region's spiritual geography.
