Karaca Ahmet (GözcĂŒ Karaca Ahmet) was a warrior-dervish saint remembered in the Bektashi tradition for the Islamization of Anatolia. In Karacaahmet village (Ulubey, UĆak) the tomb attributed to him is a hexagonal stone structure with an octagonal-drum dome and peacock motifs at its portal. NOTE: As several official Karaca Ahmet tombs/makams exist across Anatolia (most famously ĂskĂŒdar), this is a makam (cenotaph); his burial place is disputed.
