Hasan Dede is a saint deeply revered in the Çukurova region; by legend he followed the path of Hoca Ahmed Yesevî and lived as a shepherd. An inscription-based tradition dates him to 1365-1440, while some researchers point to the 17th century. His tomb in İlbistanlı village, 7 km north of Kadirli, is a small single-domed structure; visited for rain prayers and healing, restored by Osmaniye Governorship.
