Ebu Secaeddin (Şecaeddin) Ahmet Dede, by tradition among the first Turkish tribes to settle the Akçakoca region in the Seljuk period, is, with his brother Kaplan Dede, regarded as a spiritual leader of the area. His tomb in the Cumayanı locality of Göktepe village (Akçakoca) stands beside the historic nail-free wooden Evliya Mosque; locals visit seeking healing, marriage and offspring (registered in 1995).
