A Rufâî sheikh popularly called 'İmam Sultan', said to descend from the Prophet's family (Imam Ali). Tradition holds he was born in Medina around 1349, settled in Kayseri around 1369 and died there in 1414; he was buried in the cemetery of the Rufâî lodge he served, and a tomb was raised over his grave in 1537.
