One of the most revered Chishti saints of the Mughal era, who lived as an ascetic in a cave near Sikri. Emperor Akbar sought his prayers for a male heir; the son born thereafter was named Salim in his honour and became Emperor Jahangir. Akbar built the Fatehpur Sikri compound and the saint's marble tomb.
