A dervish-Sufi of the Babai tradition, regarded as the ancestor of the Karamanid dynasty. According to TDV sources he is remembered as a disciple in the circle of Baba İlyas; he is said to have died in the mid-13th century (around 1256-1258), with no attested Hijri year on record.
