A 15th-century Sufi saint, commander and administrator who spread Islam in southern Bengal and founded the UNESCO World Heritage 'Mosque City of Bagerhat' (including the Sixty Dome / Shat Gombuj Mosque). The inscription on his tombstone dates his death to 27 Dhu al-Hijja 863 AH (25 October 1459).
