A Tabriz-born Suhrawardi Sufi, disciple of Shihab al-Din al-Suhrawardi, who migrated first to Delhi (under Iltutmish) then to Bengal. He is the protagonist of the Sanskrit Sekhasubhodaya and namesake of the Jaliliyya order; his 22,000-taka endowment gave his shrine the name 'Baish Hazari Dargah'.
