The great hadith scholar known for al-Jami' al-sahih , regarded as the most reliable book after the Qur'an (d. 256/870). His full name was Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad b. Isma'il b. Ibrahim al-Ju'fi al-Bukhari . He was born at Bukhara on Friday 13 Shawwal 194 (20 July 810).
