Born in 1669 in Gordes (Korinthos) in the Morea and died in Edirne in 1738. He founded the Sezaiyye branch of the Halveti-Gulsheni Sufi order and is known for his Divan (396 ghazals), his Mektubat (letters), and a commentary on a poem by Niyazi-i Misri. He was buried in the tomb in the garden of his lodge in Edirne.
