A highly venerated Sufi saint buried in the desert-mountain country of the Balkan region in western Turkmenistan. By tradition a dervish linked to the Najm al-Din Kubra lineage; his exact death date is not fixed (roughly 13th-14th century). His mausoleum is one of Turkmenistan's foremost domestic pilgrimage sites.
