Sayyid Shah Abdul Latif Kazmi, known as Bari Imam (1617-1705), was a 17th-century Sufi of the Qadiriyya order, venerated as the patron saint of Islamabad. After twenty-four years as an ascetic in the Hazara forests, he settled in Nurpur Shahan and transformed the region through his teaching of love and peace.
