Mâûn

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 1

   أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ

   era'eyte-lleẕî yükeẕẕibü biddîn.

   Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

2. 2

   فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ

   feẕâlike-lleẕî yedü``u-lyetîm.

   For that is the one who drives away the orphan

3. 3

   وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ

   velâ yeḥuḍḍu `alâ ṭa`âmi-lmiskîn.

   And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

4. 4

   فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ

   feveylül lilmüṣallîn.

   So woe to those who pray

5. 5

   ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ

   elleẕîne hüm `an ṣalâtihim sâhûn.

   [But] who are heedless of their prayer -

6. 6

   ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ

   elleẕîne hüm yürâûn.

   Those who make show [of their deeds]

7. 7

   وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ

   veyemne`ûne-lmâ`ûn.

   And withhold [simple] assistance.
