Âdiyât

11 verses

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1
وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبْحًۭا
vel`âdiyâti ḍabḥâ.
By the racers, panting,
2
فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ قَدْحًۭا
felmûriyâti ḳadḥâ.
And the producers of sparks [when] striking
3
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًۭا
felmügîrâti ṣubḥâ.
And the chargers at dawn,
4
فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًۭا
feeŝerne bihî naḳ`â.
Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,
5
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا
fevesaṭne bihî cem`â.
Arriving thereby in the center collectively,
6
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌۭ
inne-l'insâne lirabbihî lekenûd.
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.
7
وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌۭ
veinnehû `alâ ẕâlike leşehîd.
And indeed, he is to that a witness.
8
وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ
veinnehû liḥubbi-lḫayri leşedîd.
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
9
۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ
efelâ ya`lemü iẕâ bü`ŝira mâ fi-lḳubûr.
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
10
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ
veḥuṣṣile mâ fi-ṣṣudûr.
And that within the breasts is obtained,
11
إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ
inne rabbehüm bihim yevmeiẕil leḫabîr.
Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted.

Âdiyât
