Abdullah Ansari (b. 1006) was a Hanbali scholar, Quran commentator and celebrated Sufi master of Herat known as Pir-i Herat; he wrote in Arabic and Persian, his best-known work being the Munajat. He died at Herat in 481 AH/1089 CE and was buried at Gazargah.
