Sayyid Abdulhakim Arvasi was a scholar and spiritual guide of the Naqshbandi-Khalidi path, holding ijaza in five orders; he was the spiritual mentor of the poet Necip Fazil Kisakurek. Born in 1865 in Baskale (Van), he died on 27 November 1943 while being moved toward Ankara.
