vennâzi`âti garḳâ.
By those [angels] who extract with violence
vennâşiṭâti neşṭâ.
And [by] those who remove with ease
vessâbiḥâti sebḥâ.
And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming
fessâbiḳâti sebḳâ.
And those who race each other in a race
felmüdebbirâti emrâ.
And those who arrange [each] matter,
yevme tercüfü-rrâcifeh.
On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],
tetbe`uhe-rrâdifeh.
There will follow it the subsequent [one].
ḳulûbüy yevmeiẕiv vâcifeh.
Hearts, that Day, will tremble,
ebṣâruhâ ḫâşi`ah.
Their eyes humbled.
yeḳûlûne einnâ lemerdûdûne fi-lḥâfirah.
They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
eiẕâ künnâ `iżâmen neḫirah.
Even if we should be decayed bones?
ḳâlû tilke iẕen kerratün ḫâsirah.
They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."
feinnemâ hiye zecratüv vâḥideh.
Indeed, it will be but one shout,
feiẕâ hüm bissâhirah.
And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.
hel etâke ḥadîŝü mûsâ.
Has there reached you the story of Moses? -
iẕ nâdâhü rabbühû bilvâdi-lmüḳaddesi ṭuvâ.
When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
iẕheb ilâ fir`avne innehû ṭagâ.
"Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
feḳul hel leke ilâ en tezekkâ.
And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself
veehdiyeke ilâ rabbike fetaḫşâ.
And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"
feerâhü-l'âyete-lkübrâ.
And he showed him the greatest sign,
fekeẕẕebe ve`aṣâ.
But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.
ŝümme edbera yes`â.
Then he turned his back, striving.
feḥaşera fenâdâ.
And he gathered [his people] and called out
feḳâle ene rabbükümü-l'a`lâ.
And said, "I am your most exalted lord."
feeḫaẕehü-llâhü nekâle-l'âḫirati vel'ûlâ.
So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].
inne fî ẕâlike le`ibratel limey yaḫşâ.
Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah].
eentüm eşeddü ḫalḳan emi-ssemâü. benâhâ.
Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.
rafe`a semkehâ fesevvâhâ.
He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.
veagṭaşe leylehâ veaḫrace ḍuḥâhâ.
And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.
vel'arḍa ba`de ẕâlike deḥâhâ.
And after that He spread the earth.
aḫrace minhâ mâehâ vemer`âhâ.
He extracted from it its water and its pasture,
velcibâle ersâhâ.
And the mountains He set firmly
metâ`al leküm velien`âmiküm.
As provision for you and your grazing livestock.
feiẕâ câeti-ṭṭâmmetü-lkübrâ.
But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -
yevme yeteẕekkeru-l'insânü mâ se`â.
The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,
vebürrizeti-lceḥîmü limey yerâ.
And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -
feemmâ men ṭagâ.
So as for he who transgressed
veâŝera-lḥayâte-ddünyâ.
And preferred the life of the world,
feinne-lceḥîme hiye-lme'vâ.
Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.
veemmâ men ḫâfe meḳâme rabbihî venehe-nnefse `ani-lhevâ.
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
feinne-lcennete hiye-lme'vâ.
Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
yes'elûneke `ani-ssâ`ati eyyâne mürsâhâ.
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?
fîme ente min ẕikrâhâ.
In what [position] are you that you should mention it?
ilâ rabbike müntehâhâ.
To your Lord is its finality.
innemâ ente münẕiru mey yaḫşâhâ.
You are only a warner for those who fear it.
keennehüm yevme yeravnehâ lem yelbeŝû illâ `aşiyyeten ev ḍuḥâhâ.
It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
